The Recruitment Marketing / Advertising Specialist role is administrative and your high level mission is to ensure ad postings are posted (and removed) in a timely fashion, with great attention to detail.  You will spend your time posting ads and supporting the Media Strategist on an as needed basis. Quick question for you - click here

We launch hundreds of searches each month--and this will soon turn in to thousands, and almost every one is unique. Our professional writers develop the advertising copy for each of these searches - or projects - and the media department ensures that these ads are posted to the most appropriate outlets in a way that maximizes their impact.

Above all else, the media department is a service department with several very important customers: our Recruitment Partners, Client Engagement Managers and our clients. You will interact extensively with our Recruitment Partners and CEMs and provide great service by being prompt, thorough, knowledgeable and highly organized.  We understand that there might be a learning curve, but to truly shine in this role, you'll display great attention to detail.

All of our ads are organized in our proprietary web-based recruiting and posting system. Here, all of the media requests are organized by type; your challenge is to keep the ad board "clean" (empty) and up-to-date.  These media requests -- your action items -- typically will include:

  • Posting requests for projects that need additional advertising
  • Keeping your eyes open for potential errors such as typos or erroneous locations.

We have partnerships with all of the major job boards, and a primary part of your role is ensuring that our postings on these sites are optimized. That is, while you wouldn't physically place an ad on Monster.com (we have an auto-posting mechanism), you will revisit the job titles and keywords to ensure that a re-post is positioned to the best effect.  We also employ a wide variety of niche job boards in our media strategy, and your role will be to post ads to them manually as well.

Your Background

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Recruitment Marketing Specialist opportunity, you will have:
  • Solid professional experience in media planning, preferably in recruitment advertising. However, we will consider candidates with professional working experience that demonstrates:

    • Capacity for critical thought and analysis.
    • Proactive approach to completing tasks and seeking solutions to problems.

    • Ability to be organized and proactive in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree -- OR -- directly relevant experience in media planning and advertising.
  • Experience posting to major job boards and niche sites and some social media experience will be helpful. 
  • Familiarity with pay-per-click and/or programmatic marketing is highly preferred. 
  • A friendly, engaging, professional phone manner, and experience working with business professionals and executives.

  • Ability to work from a home office. High speed internet and a quiet environment for conducting occasional telephone calls are must-haves.
